Do you need some more Hannah in your life?

Hannah Montana Bear

OK, I never do contests, but I'm a sucker when it comes to making my kids happy, so....

WE'RE HAVING A CONTEST!!

Build-A-Bear's agency sent me an email asking me if I'd like a free Hannah Montana Build-A-Bear. My answer was a very loud and unqualified, "Yes! Yes I do!"

Dylan is thrilled, though she pointed out that the Bear isn't REALLY Hannah Montana. She's just wearing her clothes. "Duh, Mom. She doesn't have long blond hair, Mom." Well, anyway, it's still cute, and now you can get one too!!

I have a $25 gift card to Build-A-Bear that I can send to one of my readers. Want it?

Here's what you need to do:

Write a post on your blog all about your kids and their TV habits and link to my site. Put the link to your post in my comments, and you are entered! If you don't have your own blog, write something in my comments. You have until Sunday to do this. I'll pick someone at random and will announce the winner on Monday. Good luck!

Want Schwag?

Because Mir is a goddess, and brilliant and pretty, I am going to steal an idea from her.

Let's have a contest.

I need some more "Dear Foodmomiac" questions from you guys. I am more than happy to make some up on my own, but that would be lame, and I want real questions from real people.

Because Michael and I both went to BlogHer, we have more schwag than we will ever need. And since I am trying my darndest to be more of a minimalist, I would like to give some of it away. And, thus, the prizes are as follows:

First Prize: Three SixApart canvas bags (one big tote with zipper and handles, one medium pouch, one small pencil case-type pouch), one corkscrew, one condom carrying case (whee!), one bib, one PBS Kids whiteboard calendar
Second Prize: one bib, one PBS Kids whiteboard calendar

How to enter: I will choose the winners randomly. To earn an entry, you need to submit a question. You can also earn an entry by posting a link to this contest on your blog (use Trackbacks if you know how, or just let me know with a link via email). You can earn as many entries as you like. All submissions must be in by next Friday, August 11 at 5pm EDT. I will announce the winner on Saturday, August 12.

Fun with Groceries

You may have noticed that I pulled all of my Google ads a while ago. I also don't have any affiliate linking anymore other than the books I list over to the right. And that's more of a fun thing than a money-making thing (which is good, because I've netted about $.06). But, after the fun I had last night, I just had to share this:

Have you been to the new Amazon Grocery section? I hadn't until last night, and OH MY GOD, I LOVE IT!!! It's free shipping as long as you get over $25 of stuff (easy), AND, until the end of August, you can save an additional $10 if you enter the code grocery2.

I got all of the below for just over $100!!!:

  • Annie's Homegrown Bunny Shape Pasta & Yummy Cheese Mac & Cheese, 6-oz. boxes (pack of 12)
  • Arm & Hammer Detergent, Clean Mountain 6.53 lb (pack of 3)
  • Pull-Ups Training Pants, 4T-5T, Mega Pack (33 training pants) (Pack of 2) (Note: b/c I'm tired of washing sheets)
  • Robert's American Gourmet Veggie Booty, 4-ounce Bags (Pack of 12)
  • Bounty Paper Towels, 15 Rolls, Select-a-Size, 103 Two-Ply Sheets per Roll

Isn't that awesome????

Edit to add: Oh, I also got a book of Debbie Bliss knitting patterns, which makes my deal even better!
