Max's New Toy!

Max's New Toy!

Max's birthday party was a big success. Though we had a total of 11 kids, it was not insane at all. I think that was primarily due to me telling myself over and over (and over) to just chill out. I usually get completely stressed out, and I worry about every guest. I want everyone to be having an awesome time, and in the process, I end up miserable. But, today, I chilled out, and everything was great.

Max's cake was AWESOME (thank you Dinkel's!):

The kids seemed very entertained. The theme was "truck party," so we had "Pin the hat on the firetruck dog." We also played "truck, truck, car," and had a very cool truck pinata:

The rain held off (barely), so we kept the entire party outside, which was key. An inside party would have been insanity, but just in case, we hung up some decorations, and I created a slideshow of Max photos that played on the television in our family room. It was fun looking at all of the old pictures. I can't believe that this little guy:

is now this big guy:

Happy birthday again buddy!
