An Un-Lazy Sunday
We changed plans last minute last night and ended up at Shaw's Crab House, one of our standard favorites. They are smack dab in the middle of Lobsterfest, so I enjoyed a one pounder with corn on the cob, cole slaw and some pretty boiled red potatoes. We also shared a dozen oysters. Michael got tempura fried soft shell crabs with fries. Everything was fabulous, and our bartender (we sat at the bar), was adorable.
Max appears to have a pretty rotten cold, so I was up with him most of the night, but I still managed to drag myself to step class at 8:30. Wow. I hadn't done that in a couple of years, but it was a lot of fun, and I didn't look too clutzy (I don't think).
I currently procrastinating instead of showering and cleaning my house (non-stop work when you are in the midst of packing), but after Max wakes up, we are heading over to a fun fair at the neighborhood school for our new house. We have all but decided to switch Dylan there instead of the fine arts magnet school that she got into through the lottery. I'm just tired of schlepping the kids all over the damn place, and this school is two blocks from the new house. We'll be totally scoping out the other parents at this fair, trying to determine if we can picture ourselves there.
More later...
