Do you see the jaunty way this child's shirt is open to the chest? Like he's some kind of rebel? A tough guy with an agenda for danger? Yes? Totally accurate.
Max is insane. We cannot control him. And our house is incredibly hard to childproof. For example, the front stairs in our foyer can't be gated. Here's a really small picture of them from realtor.com. You'd need a custom-built gate.
We basically chase him around the house yelling "No! No!" and lifting him up to re-route him every minute or so. There are a MILLION dangerous things in my house. Radiators with hard metal knobs? Check. Gas Fireplace with lit pilot light? Check. Two staircases? Check.
Dylan was more content to be with me when she was Max's age. When I would get ready in the bathroom in the morning, she would stay with me, exploring the general vicinity.
