Tea Party with Poppy
This picture is from Sunday night. This was just the cutest thing ever. Dylan has a teeny tiny porcelain tea set that she got from my Grandma Ana last year. I don't know if you can see, but the pieces feature little lady bugs. I love that the set isn't plastic.
Dylan LOVES tea, especially herbal teas like Gypsy Cold Care. She was chilly on Sunday and craving tea, so she called Poppy (Michael's dad) and asked him to come over and make her some! Poppy is a tea fanatic, and Dylan knew that he'd be all over the idea of a tea party.
Poppy showed up at exactly the right time - just after Dylie's bath. She put on her cozy jammies, grabbed the tea set and set everything up. She had me put milk in the little pitcher (it held maybe one to two tablespoons), sugar in the sugar bowl and we poured tea into the tea pot. Each tea cup held one sip, so it was a long (but fun)party.
I loved watching Dylan and Poppy interact. She had a blast serving him, and he got a real kick out of the whole experience.
