My deep, dark inner workings

Randi tagged me for this a while ago, and I've been waiting for a boring dinner night to do it. We had roasted chicken breasts, braised baby carrots with butter and dill and couscous. Not much to say - it was all yummy.

So, without further ado, here are 10 random facts about moi:

1. 11 years ago I had a shaved head and a nose ring.

2. I went to sleepaway camp for eight years, starting at the age of seven. I was away for anywhere from six to eight weeks and absolutely loved it.

3. I quit piano lessons in ninth grade (after eight years of taking them) because my teacher was very cute, and I got nervous sitting on the piano bench with him.

4. When I saw Desperately Seeking Susan at the theatre back in the 80s, I wore a lace bow in my hair because I thought Madonna might stop by and see me.

5. When I was six, I wanted to be the tooth fairy or a crossing guard when I grew up.

6. My favorite flowers are lilacs.

7. I can only sleep with a very flat pillow.

8. I am a champion hula hooper. I can hula hoop while walking, dancing, and of course, standing still. In kindergarten, I won the elementary school's hula hoop contest.

9. I have a tattoo of a small lobster on my shoulder. I got it on a whim when I was 19, and I thought it was a red scorpion. When I was 20, I tried to get it fixed by a tattoo artist named sailor Ron (or something like that), so now it looks like a black lobster with abnormally large claws.

10. I met the Frugal Gourmet when I was in college, and I was so nervous I almost threw up.
